Join us February 7-9, 2020 for a weekend of engaging teaching, laughing with sisters and spending quiet time with the Lord. Our 3-session retreat at beautiful San Damiano in White Post, VA begins with dinner at 6:00pm on Friday, and ends before lunch on Sunday.
Our speaker, Marcia Lebhar, will share her series of talks entitled Wilderness Walking: Signposts for Desert Disciples. The people of Israel have been slaves in Egypt for so long that they've lost their sense of who they are. God takes them into the wilderness to make them His, to shape them, to show them what He's like and how He can care for them. This life is the wilderness for disciples of Jesus. We can become confused and sorrowful when we expect it to be otherwise. But we can also find hope and comfort in the knowledge that as we walk through this wilderness, God is shaping us for His Kingdom, for eternity.
All rooms are full, but you can still join us for every other component of the retreat - all meals, all teachings and our fellowship times. Register online, or in-person January 12th or 19th in the Fellowship Hall. Please make your nonrefundable check for $85 payable to Winchester Anglican Church, Memo: Women's Retreat. Please give your check to a Retreat Team member in the Fellowship Hall following either service January 12th or 19th only. All are welcome, so please invite friends!
A note about inclement weather: If San Damiano is open - the retreat is on! If San Damiano is closed on Friday, 2/7, due to weather, but open on Saturday, 2/8, we will start our retreat Saturday morning, 2/8. If San Damiano closes for Friday AND Saturday, the retreat is cancelled and all money paid (including the $100 deposit) will be refunded.
